Overpopulation of Humans

Overpopulation can be described as an overabundance of people within a certain area of land, to a rate which is unhealthy or highly uncomfortable.

But what really is overpopulation? Overpopulation isn't necessarily just too many people in one area, but a rate of birth and human population at a height which cannot be maintained except by rapidly using and destroying non-renewable sources and the environment around them.

Some of the most populated countries include: India, Bangledesh, China, Holland, Japan, and United States. These country's people per square mileage range, on average, from 430 to 14000 people.

There are other overpopulated countries such as Pakistan, Ethiopia, Congo, and Afghanastan, to name a few, in which a large population of people do not have access to healthcare and basic food. The most problematic countries are those which are in "developing status," in which the birth rate and death rate are unusually high.

The Effects of Overpopulation:
-demolition of natural habitats for resources

-increased death and sickness due to waste

-expansion of urban development, resulting in pollution of air, water, and natural resources

-eventual depletion of fossil fuels

-warfare in developing countries, in which the population grows exponentially, because of the scarcity of food and essential resources to survive.

Suggested ways to minimalize the effects of overpopulation:
-Continue the improvement of more natural, renewable resources
-Continue the research of finding cures for diseases that are common in overpopulated countries
